Wonderful Place to Stay!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the large third floor suite, and while there are quite a few stairs to climb, the room was spacious and well-appointed. The pillows were very nice (I snuck a peek at the tag so I can order some for home), and the sheets were very soft. The highlight of the visit was the breakfast cooked by Milan! Oh my! What a talent he has! Absolutely top notch! Milan is also a fabulous innkeeper. He is willing to engage in great conversations, but also recognized when my husband and I just wanted to chat quietly among ourselves. The inn is in a nice location. We drove into downtown Portland each day because we were there in March when it was still a bit chilly, but downtown is just a short distance away.

True Maine Experince!

The West End Inn is a charm! It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood filled with historic homes and void of commercial surroundings, but only a short walk to restaurants, museums, and the civic center. Each room is unique and well appointed. The downstairs common area is available 24 hours and offers cozy sitting around a gas fire place where you can enjoy a drink, read, and enjoy board games. I highly recommend this romantic get-away!

A True Home Away From Home

This was our second stay at the West End Inn. Again, Milan, the innkeeper, did a phenomenal job in making us comfortable. While it was very, very cold in Portland, the WEI was warm and the tea, coffee and cookies that were laid out increased our satisfaction. Add to that the five-star breakfasts that Milan created every morning, and we felt more than pampered.
Since our first stay we have recommended the WEI to numerous people who have said they are traveling to Portland. Parking is not an issue and it's a short walk from the WEI to downtown.
Thank you Milan, and we will be back!

Best sleep ever

BEST SLEEP EVER
These guys have the most meticulous housekeeping ever
I had the king size bed in a beautiful room, and sooo quiet!!
Staff are super friendly, bathroom was as clean and nice as a living room,
If you want a really cozy, book and quiet friendly environment, come here

Charming Inn Close to Downtown

The inn and our room were beautiful and charming. The space was very comfortable. It was a lovely and quiet neighborhood very close to downtown. Staff was kind and courteous. The on-site wine and drinks were a fun touch. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had!
