Great experience in a comfortable and clean SpringHill

Really delightful new build hotel. Decor and furnishings to a good and recent standard - all still in good nick. Spacious suites and efficient cleaning staff. The included breakfast was standard fare, but kept well stocked during a very busy period. I would have liked to see more reusable cups/dishes/cutlery, rather than so much single-use plastic. Parking at a minimal charge (about £5 per night) but this is a much better deal than most other places in the DC area - and no “amenity fee”. The convenience mart was well stocked and at a reasonable price point, but a bar would be welcome, as the hotel is away a drive away from most restaurants and bars.
The best part of the experience were the consistently friendly staff. Always cheerful, professional and efficient!

Overall, the experience was satisfactory, but I wanted to bring to your attention a couple of issues that affected the quality of our stay.
Specifically, we found the bed to be excessively firm, which impacted our ability to sleep comfortably. In addition, the pillows provided were not ideal. We also had trouble regulating the temperature in our room; despite setting the thermostat to 68 degrees, the room remained warmer than desired.

What is going on!

Had enough! I have been staying at this hotel for a lot of years. The last month breakfast has been horrible. Supposed to start at 6:30am. One time, there was no breakfast at all. Other times, they just started putting out breakfast items at 6:30. What is going on. Internet is still horrible. I was beginning to believe it was my laptop. I am staying at another brand down the road. Internet is perfect and breakfast starts at 6am which is better for beating the traffic. I like staying here, but I booked the next three weeks at the hotel down the road (Hampton Inn). Which they would fix the issues. Plus no HBO!! I have it here.

I love staying at this property because it's pretty quiet and they have a good self-serve breakfast. I've stayed here regularly over the last 12 years.

The only complaint we have is that the pet friendly rooms smell
Strong of urine. Perhaps replacing carpet with washable flooring would eliminate the issue.
