First the good. The front desk and valet staff were lovely. The pools, though not overly warm, provided towels, sunscreen and chairs with umbrellas and were not horribly crowded. The drinks while expensive did taste good.
Now the bad. You are charged a $48 per night resort fee & $23 per day valet fee. Valet is completely unnecessary. They would park our car a whole 50 feet away from the reception area in spots directly in front of our room. Shuttle has to be pre-booked in advance and is not convenient. The rooms are okay but need some major updates and a good clean. The one bed had nasty stains on the side from what was likely someone else's good time. Bathrooms are all banged up along the trim and the door. Room floor left your feet black walking barefoot. Makeup mirror base was heavily rusted. The one LED light fried within 10 mins of turning it on & back porch light was also burned out. Our room was located just outside the gate to the pool and bar/restaurant which was blasting club style music from 8am to 10:30pm. The one bartender was snippy about our using the free drink coupons and gave me an attitude for wanting to swap vodka for rum in one of the $18 drinks as vodka makes me quite sick…so I ordered something else.
They are trying to be high end but are not succeeding.
