Perfect place for a weekend KC adventure. We easily walked to the museums in 10 degree weather. Dozens of great food spots and shopping areas within a ten minute drive. Roses and champagne all over the place on Valentines... sincerely above and beyond.

Wonderful stay! Ryan even gave restaurant recommendations. Will stay here again. Loved the moody bathroom theme.

Pros: clean, spacious rooms in a centrally located area that’s relatively walkable. It’s tastefully decorated, the bed was comfortable and the owners are responsive and kind. Parking is free and easy. It’s an old house converted to a hotel so it has charm. Overall very comfortable.
Cons: our room was on the ground floor and the bed shared a wall with the stairs. Another wall had the “lobby” on the other side. While they provided a noise machine and it helped a little, people stomping up and down the stairs for an hour straight early mornings and groups talking in the lobby late at night meant noise was an issue for sleeping or resting (plus in the room
above us you’d wake up to them stomping on the floor). The downside of an old house.
Also they have air fresheners plugged in everywhere that gave me a massive headache (not normally sensitive to smells but these are toxic). I unplugged the ones in our room/bathroom so was only an issue the first night but still was unpleasant in common areas. Lastly, internet was slow at times but still workable.
I personally wouldn’t stay again unless I was guaranteed a room on the second floor. And ideally they switch to essential oil diffusers. If not for those things, it’s a beautiful and comfortable space!

Amazing room decor and layout with all the details considered. Blackout blinds were much appreciated by my husband, and the very comfortable bed was appreciated by me. Super easy access with very clear directions on how to enter the hotel and our room without a front desk. Personally, also loved the music being quietly played in the common areas.

What an amazing property and experience. This hotel was a dream. Great communication from the property owners. They have a contactless check in where they text you the codes to enter the property and there's a separate code for your room. I felt like my room was a luxury suite. Entering into the hotel, it took my breath away when I opened the front door. It's an incredible mixture of model and classic. There's a piano with a neon light fixture in a large sitting room to the left. On the right is a beautifully appointed classy sitting room. I had room 1B that was GINORMOUS. When I walked into the room my spirit felt peace and calm. It had a minimalist charm with an elegant flair to it. The mattress was a super comfortable foam type (think Tempurpedic) mattress was perfect, because I have a nickel allergy and it just summoned me to crawl in to take a nap. The bathroom is huge and had an interesting door that is propped open, that you can push open from inside of the bathroom, but not pull open from outside. There's a large TV in the room that I never used. And, there was a fireplace with lots of seating options. The bed had chocolates on them. Great coffee bar and snacks. The owners were very responsive and gracious to a minor issue I had, which was awesome. We can't wait to go again.
My criticism are very minor: There are stairs that you must use to enter the place, and most rooms require stairs. And, linen could improve but it was definitely comfortable.
