Comfortable.

The hotel looks very grand on the outside. The inside is really catering to conference rooms. The hotel rooms are rather plain. I am used to an Embassy Suites being grand with a lobby that has plants and water features and a tall interior. I was disappointed that the lobby was plain. Usually the restaurant in an Embassy Suites is a destination unto itself, this one is just a cafe. So the lobby area, overall disappointing.
The made to order breakfast is really just an omelette with your choice of ingredients. It was really good! Then self serve continental breakfast is typical hotel breakfast with cereals, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, fired potato, pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee... typical.
There is also an evening reception every day from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. We got there too late to see what that was like, but I like that it is every night.
The room was clean and comfortable but kind of dark. We had an L-Shaped king side room, it was a little cramped for 2. If you sit on the couch, you can;t see the TV really good. The person in the bed in the middle of the room has the best TV view.
The bed was very comfortable, VERY Comfortable.
In the bathroom we struggled with the hot water staying hot. The shower and sink would barely warm up, then slowly get colder until it was cold, then it would warm up again. It took a little bit to figure it out.
Down the hall there was a party going on loudly in what was a larger room. We could hear them all up and down the hall as soon as we got off the elevator, and there were party streamers flowing into the hall at the door. We saw a group of about 15 people going into that room coming from the pool. Luckily they were father down the hall from our room and we could not hear them with the door closed.
The pool and spa was indoors, the pool had a cute waterfall.
I would stay again but I would choose a bigger room and make sure I made it to the evening reception!

TERRIBLE

Terrible experience with bed bugs and management. Talked to manager Mylyn Noriega Sargent and she stated that I brought my own blankets from home and they had the room checked for bedbugs but could not find anything other than dead bugs. I have pictures, I picked some of the bugs up and put on a paper towel and showed management which they snatched the paper towel out of my hand and kept. They moved us to another room and told me I was responsible for my own washing of clothes (I did not want to bring them home) so I spend my whole day Saturday in the laundry washing and drying clothes. No one helped me move any of my stuff to the other room the Embassy provided, there were 4 adults and 2 children and I was the only one that was able to pack everything up and move which took me several trips to get to another room and I have had 7 back surgeries and am limited with lifting and walking. The management on duty at the time acknowledged the bed bugs and all the pubic hair on the mattresses but after I tried to at least get compensated for all my laundry the story changed. Also the management on duty first told me to leave everything and they would get it washed and dried in their commercial equipment so we could make sure none went home with us. After speaking with Mylyn, she made me sound like a nasty individual that brought these from home and she was so condescending. First of all if that was the case my daughter's house would have been infested also and that is not the case. I am employed with a company that does a lot of government work, anywhere from Blackhawk Helicopter Blades to Nuclear Parts and I have many of recommendations to show that I would not treat anyone the way that I was treated and let alone the stories changing numerous times from Embassy staff. I am 61 years old and this is the first time I have ever filed a complaint but feel like I was treated like a filthy individual.

Long wait to check in as we couldn’t find a front desk person, only 1 town in the room and no shampoo or conditioner in the room, and no staff to fill it at 5 am. Mighty pricey hotel to be so slck

The hotel itself was nice except: the lock on the exterior door to the rear parking lot did not work (couldn’t open the door from the outside); water in my morning shower was only lukewarm; snack at the manager’s reception were less than….
When I spoke to the desk agent about the rear door, he gave an argument ad told me that it was tricky and one had to know how to use it. Perhaps the hotel should get it fixed??

A very unusual mistake happened that frightened us a lot. I’m disappointed that the manager will only refund us half. However, the property is gorgeous and breakfast delicious, so we would definitely stay again!
