I slept one night with my mother in a mixed 4-person dormitory. The check-in was very relaxed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. So did our roommates and the other guests we got to know. The room and common areas, such as bathroom, kitchen and common room were very clean and tidy. And a huge plus point is awarded for the commitment of the employees. I unfortunately forgot my jewellery on site and after a phone call, a little email contact and 3 weeks delivery time my jewellery arrived safely back home. Thank you dear team <3 :) :)

Ok for a night stay

Hostel is located next to funeral parlor that we didn’t know ! Waze here but the direction is incorrect and even Google map location is wrong,
I booked 1 family room , 2 double room , 3 bunk bed for my group of 12 pax through booking. Shared kitchen , bathroom, dining and living area .

we had a good time

we slept in this hostel for 2 nights. now desperate not to have accommodation for the night the lady greeted us kindly giving herself immediately to help us. the room she gave us was clean and comfortable. clean bathrooms and showers. we did not use kitchen because we dined out but all common areas were kept well and used by many other guests. I was particularly impressed by the silence during the night. all respectful guests. would stay again.

The worst place in Scotland.

Coming back from the bush in Guinea, I was not disoriented… Shared toilet adjoining the living room (discreet), musty smell everywhere, unsanitary showers.
Abandoned, questionable hygiene, noisy place, everything is there to avoid going there.
A shame. An added bonus, we are glued to the funeral homes with a view of the hearses.
The facade at night is Amityville.

Avoid - dirty and too expensive

A hostel is a hostel and I've stayed in quite a few so I know they're never going to be luxurious. However, I do expect it to be at the very least clean, which it was not. It was grimy, our room hadn't been swept so had loads of hair on the floor. One of the showers had faeces on the floor that wasn't cleaned up all day, the walls were paper thin and could hear literally everything, thank goodness I brought earplugs, and just in general was a let down. The guy who checked us in looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. Especially annoying paying £90 per night which is a rip off, and you can stay in much nicer places for less. I know this is Skye so places can charge what they like but I was really disappointed, I would not stay again and wouldn't recommend it.
