Gorgeous, clean, spacious apartment with views of the beach
APARTMENT: We stayed for 4 weeks in this apartment from LuxSL Luxury Style of Life 6 via Booking. com which is in the Riviera Jomtien Beach Residence. Do not be put off by some reviews you may read online of this apartment block. The reviews are of individual apartments. This apartment is beautiful. It is exactly like the photos, modern, spacious & clean. It is on the 33rd floor with views of the beach. There's a decent sized bedroom with huge comfy bed, bedside tables , TV and walk in wardrobe with draws and a safe, so plenty of room for all your clothes. There is also a wall of windows looking out towards the sea. The bathroom contains a vanity sink, toilet & large shower and the main living area has a kitchen, dining area & lounge with a big TV and balcony. The building itself is very opulent with mirrored tables and walls, indoor wall gardens, large couches and chairs and 'throne's' with sheepskin rugs and plush cushions. The owner, Victor, is always happy to help and is only a phone call away should you need anything plus he can organise a shuttle to and from Bangkok airport for you at an excellent price of around 1300 baht each way.
POOLS: 3 pools, 2 infinity on the 37th & 42nd floors. The 3rd pool is on the ground floor of the second building and is by far the best pool, it is river like with bridges, trees and fauna and lots of sunbeds as well as comfy couches and swinging beds. There is plenty of shaded areas. Be aware though that the pool is at the front of the hotel so only gets the sun until around 11.15am but you will be glad of the shade thereafter.
GYM: There are 2 gyms, a large one on the 7th floor and a smaller one on the 42nd floor. They contain a variety of equipment well as floor space and are fully air conditioned, the only negative is that there is nothing to wipe down the equipment with before and after use so I would advise to take some anti-bac wipes with you.
LOCATION: The location is the south end of Jomtien Beach which is the nicer and quieter end. The beach and swim areas here are the best. It is just a few minutes walk out of the back of hotel to reach the beach. The beach front is over 3 miles (6km) long and has an abundance of bars and restaurants.
GETTING AROUND: Baht buses (small pick up trucks with seats on either side of the bed encased in a safety 'roll cage') are the best way to travel along the front and into Pattaya City, there are literally hundreds of them running the full length of the beach all day and they cost 10 baht per journey no matter how far you travel. Just flag one down by the roadside, press the buzzer when you want to get off then walk around to pay the driver your 10 baht.
EATING OUT: As well as the many, many places to eat along the beach front there is a fantastic American diner called Qulture Lounge opposite the entrance to the Riviera Jomtien. It is open for breakfast and lunch and the food is to die for. I recommend the Eggs Benedict and the Stuffed French Toast, both are delicious .
SUPERMARKETS: The best supermarkets are The Big C Supercentre or Lotus's. Both are large and sell everything including homeware and are in shopping malls which contain other shops and market stalls as well a a food court. Both are an 8-10 min drive from the apartment, depending on traffic and costs under 100 baht via 'Bolt' ,I would recommend downloading the Bolt app as a taxi will cost you around 3 times the price of a Bolt car.
CURRENCY: Not many places accept credit cards and those that do can charge an extra 2% or 2.5%. Everywhere takes cash. You get a better deal if you take your own currency (£, $, €) and exchange it in one of the currency booths along the beach front. We got a better rate this way than we did changing currency at home before leaving.

Great view if that’s important.
High rise apartments which I suspect is under management on behalf of owners.
Furnishings are modern with good bathroom facilities.
Stayed on the 28th floor with spectacular views of Jomtien Beach.
Biggest letdown was communication as there is no on site office.
No compendium in the apartment to advise how to operate facilities.
Heard there were 3 pools and found the rooftop on 38th floor but no advice on other locations nor of any other facilities.
Limited kitchen facilities and no jug to boil water so guess work on the microwave.
Probably the biggest disappointment was being refused a second room card so not ideal if we wanted to do different things.
