Boutique hotel with 4 star attention

Manager, Umberto was exceedingly helpful and accommodating. He offered tourist information and local tips. Noisy guests first night were banned from future visits and upgrade was given without being asked. Staff friendly. Room small but clean & well-appointed. Decor unique. Location: 15 minutes walk to main town center. Well worth the low cost. Will go again.

I do not think I'll come back

The paper walls, you can hear everything, terrible for sleeping, you have the feeling that there are people inside your room. Dwarf mattresses and already with history. All quite old. The reception is not always there. Not so economical for the quality. At least it was clean, the water comes out hot, the heating works too.

Nice and good accomodation for a good price

We stayed there for one night. A little bit unsure what's comming up to us we went to the Hotel. You surely will find there a parking place. Then inside nice modern Ambiente but simple. The room with TV and aircondition. Two beds and Bathroom insuite! Everything simple but very clean. Next morning we got a good Spanish breakfast. Two tostadas with oil and tomatoe and an Cafe con leche and a freshly made orange juice. All together for a very good price. Okay the Hotel is situated in a Quartier where the poor people live. But there's no reason to be feared by that. People are very friendly. Notice, it's just ten minutes to walk in the center and ten minutes to the Puntilla Beach.

Worst night we had in andalucia

From outside the hotel looks really aweful but the renovation they did inside paid of. Rooms are modern and clean and provide you with all the basic stuff you might need. Unfortunately the place seems to be made of paper so had you can literally hear any single word spoken in the other rooms. On top Spanish people tend to speak really loud so that you get the feeling they are sitting right next to you. We hardly could sleep and had to cancel half of our plans for the next day. It's really a pitty when you plan your trip and try to get the most out of it and in the end can't do what you had planned due to bad sleeping conditions. Even though it ins a nice place I would never come back here!

excellent value for money

Just back from a brief stay at El Gazpacho (alsó known as Surtopia). The hotel has clearly been refurbished recently (for example name change and exterior is now blue). Our room was bright and comfortable. The bar was very pleasant with a great post carnival atmosphere. Only tried one tapa with a beer before heading out, but it was very good (norwegian potato salad). Menú and great smells coming from kitchen seemed promising, but we had other plans. Hotel is short walk from the bull ring, or you can head in the opposite directión to the dunes (v. close). The hotel staff and management were extremely friendly and helpful and alsó english speaking (rare in these parts). However they humoured us with our less than perfect Spanish. Muy recomendable!
