Wonderful hotel for our city break
I could not fault this hotel at all. We would recommend it to others and would return here when we come back to Barcelona.
Re: Location, the hotel was about 45mins from the airport once on the metro (1 x change) and the station is right outside (or if you take the wrong exit like us, over the road). The metro then is easy to use to get to all the ‘major’ city attractions. Eg approx. 11 mins to Sagrada Familia.
Re: Check-in, staff are bilingual which makes communicating no problem. We arrived early in the morning on the Sunday, they were happy for us to do all the relevant paperwork, leave our bags and come back at 3pm. All staff on check in were friendly.
Re: Rooms, our room was large and clean. What more do you need from a city break hotel? We just wanted somewhere to lay our heads at the end of the day. We had a tv, safe, mini bar, shampoo, conditioner, towels etc, and when the hair drier stopped working (I have a lot of hair so think it over heated!) they kindly gave us another. We personally didn’t want our room serviced every day, but they always left us a note to say to contact them if we changed our mind.
Re: Food, the restaurant staff were AMAZING, and so was the food. We booked half board. Breakfast was continental, so included things like cheeses, hams, breads, fruit, pancakes, beans, bacon and scrambled eggs. Dinner was 3 x courses, starter was a buffet style, included things like cheese, ham, bread, pasta/rice, salad. Main you had a choice of a fish dish or a meat dish (highly recommend the pork!) which you ordered from the staff, and then dessert was also a buffet, you usually had a choice of 2.
Our thanks to both Gonzalo and Rocio in the restaurant - they were so kind to us and couldn’t do enough. They were also extremely patient with my partners requests for specific sports on the tv each night :-D
Re: Extras, we visited the roof top most mornings and evenings, it had such wonderful views. It was a bit too cold for a dip in the pool for us, but looked inviting.
We also took part in the sangria master class and beer tasting that was on offer. Again our thanks for Gonzalo and Rocio for sharing their knowledge with us, and letting us take part - I would recommend if you get chance.

Fantastic Stay
I had a lovey time at this hotel. I was bed and breakfast. Breakfast was lovely, selection of hot and cold food.
We had a triple room that was great with lots of space. Room and the rest of the hotel was spotless.
We had a number of interactions with various members of staff and all were very nice and extremely helpful.
We were on the second floor and the noise from outside was really bad. We all had noise cancelling earplugs so this didn’t disturb our sleep but I can understand why people would be disturbed. It’s on a really busy main road, I would suggest requesting a room on a higher floor and not on the side of the road.

Disappointed
Breakfast rubbish, no sausages or fried eggs just some runny scrambled eggs, bacon was just fat, rooms ok but no coffee after first day. Bar run out of Jack Daniel’s, hotel that does city breaks which tend to be short breaks and you cannot check in until 3pm

Great location
An extremely friendly, quality hotel, located right outside Parel-lel metro station. Access to all parts of the city is simple. Breakfasts were good but the evening menu was unimaginative and very limited, although the quality was good. The staff couldn't have been more helpful (especially Mark on reception). The rooms were well-furnished and very comfortable. No traffic noise experienced.

A decent hotel
A good Hotel, with a good reception. A one-eyed room quickly transformed into a classic on request. Clean room, with a double bed. disappointing bathroom with just an ordinary shower head, not multi jets which would have been a minimum for this kind of 4 star hotel.
Very complicated parking for vehicle like van. parking small and without clearance. Hot water outage during an evening which can happen. Breakfast very well stocked. No choice. No smoked salmon!
