This is our second time staying in this property and I have to say it never disappoints. This time I had an event in the property and I stayed only for one night with my son. I called the property to request for an early check in and Farooq was kind enough to grant the request. We checked in at 11am! Upon check in, there was one lady who kindly assisted us. Her name is Sharon and I came to know later that she is the Executive Housekeeper in the property. She even went out her way to show me the RIXY KIDS club so my son can enjoy some activities during our stay. She was so kind and warm. We reached the room and we were again surprised to receive some complimentary sweets sent by her. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. More than the amazing facilities of the property, I think it’s really the warmth and kind hospitality of the people in the property that makes this hotel stand out. Will definitely come back again.

We were lured to Rixos Gulf by the good reviews. Sadly, we saw later that 80% of those are written by "first-time-reviewers" ;-) The place is a disgrace for the beautiful country of Qatar and has absolutely nothing to do with a 5 star resort. It's by far the worst worst of the eight 5 star hotels we visited around the Gulf. There is practically no service, baby chairs are to fight for and in a horrible condition. The food consists widely of the same old-overcooked noodles every night. The rest is the cheapest no-brand stuff. If you ask for a banana for the baby - there is none. The pool falls apart. The biggest joke is also the kids club - we found 2 employees in the kids club who parked the kid they had to take care of in front of the TV (you nailed the job ;-)) The kids water facilities could not be any sadder - with super cold water (consequently, no kids used them). I could go on with our disappointment. We regretted every minute to have come here and will never ever set foot in a Rixos again. My advice: Sell it as a run-down hostel and don't lure guests who expect a 5 star hotel!

The Rixos Gulf Hotel is absolutely magnificent. From our arrival to our departure we experienced high quality service.
The staff at the reception desk are welcoming and always ready to help even when we checked in late at night.
The rooms are quite spacious with tv, iron, safe and coffe/tea facilities. The bathroom is big and well stocked with hygiene products. We were lucky to get two intecommunicating rooms. Sameer looked after us and made sure that we had all we needed (and extra).
We had only half board. Both meals were varied and although some dishes were available every day there was quite a variety and carered for all. Waiters were attentive and always ready to get our table ready or bring drinks. Some part of the restaurant had A/C on high so it was quite cold.
The hotel is on the beach which is well kept with plenty of sunbed and free towels. The sea water was quite cold. There are water sports available, two heated swimming pools and a jacuzzi. There is even a gym with separate female room.
The hotel offers locker rooms if your flight is after the check out time.
We spent an unforgettable holiday! Thank you to everyone at Rixos Gulf!

Our stay at Rixos Gulf Hotel was perfect. From the cleanliness, entertainment, food and service from staff.
The children loved the hotel as the animation team were great and kids club had activities for the children throughout the day. The pool was perfect kept at a nice tempreture considering the chilly weather at times and the food was great at the Farmhouse.
A special thanks to the Farmhouse staff and Lanker the room service who kept our room clean and tidy. Thank you Rixos

The property is nice and the staff are very courteous, polite and friendly. The rooms are spacious and big enough for a family of 4. Being vegetarian, we found the breakfast spread was good with sufficient veg options. Valet parking makes it really convenient if you travel with your car. It was our wedding anniversary and the hotel gave us little treats to make our day special. All in all, would recommend this property.
We had a terrible experience with access to the hotel during a football match which was not the hotel's mistake but definitely keep in mind and check with the hotel about any events in the stadium nearby.
