Excellent service, and couldn’t be more helpful. Use of the laundry was very welcome. Room was excellent for space, but a little dated. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the room was hot (even though it had a dehumidifier and fan).

This was my second visit here and I stayed for 3 nights. Great location for walking the shore. Beach is right across the street. Newly refurbished room. Lovely.

The room has just renovated, which is good. However there is still strong smell of new paint which may be harmful to health.

Lovely location by the Water front, beautiful gardens, supermarket 5 minures walk where we could buy stuff to cook on the communal BBQ.
One of our favourite stops whilst travelling the North Island of New Zealand.

Expedia has given this property a 2.5 star rating. It's a 3 star. The room and building are in new condition, the garden area is beautiful. And the host (I forget her name) is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Loved our stay here.
