Top hotel!

Super nice night away with group of friends. Great food and swimming, very nice service in the bar and restaurant and reception also helped us well. Definitely come back with good weather because you can cycle very well in Almere!

No value for money

Stayed 2 or 3 nights several times in recent months. It was never quite right. Key card that did not work, still had to show ID at check-in while I had checked in online, dirty room, no remote control, desk staff reacting curtly / annoyed and last time there was still dirty laundry on the balcony (even after reporting it twice it was still there after 3 days).
Breakfast buffet has no hot vegetables (no tommat or fried mushrooms oid). Scrumbled eggs taste like nothing....a tasteless goo.
Only plus is the restaurant. Smooth service.

Worst vdv hotel

First of all, the food was not at the right temperature and very tasteless, which was very disappointing for such a special occasion. If one person complained then I get it but literally everyone complained about the food. I've been through so many weddings in Van der Valk but this is the bad one I've ever been through
In addition, the heating did not work, making it uncomfortable cold in the room, we just had to put on our coats so cold it was
We had brought cupcakes that had to be brought inside together with the cake but we never saw those cupcakes on the table. And let's not talk about the way the cake was brought...... we had to bring the table to the bride and groom ourselves. Managers hard to find.....
All this has significantly influenced the festive spirit. BOYS LIKE YOU WILL NOT GET MARRIED IN VAN DER VALK ALMERE.

Great stay!

We had a great stay! Great room that was completely renewed with lovely beds and nice pillows. Friendly staff, super eaten in the restaurant and also enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool with sauna and steam room. Definitely recommended!

A quiet hotel

The hotel is conveniently located close to major roads - but in the hotel itself you never have any noise pollution from the road. The rooms are large, as is the bathroom. The bathroom has a large shower and a bathtub - only downside in the bathroom, it has no heating. The vanity mirror is difficult to use because it is difficult to reach due to the depth of the washbasin. The odd room numbers on the ground floor all have direct access to the terrace outside. The room safe was arranged at chest height and could thus be operated comfortably.
The whole staff was always friendly.
The breakfast buffet was very rich, with a wide selection of bread and rolls. Only minus, no jam was offered.
