Truly a gem in Haifa

Truly a gem in Haifa, excellent for those who wish to explore the city and its surroundings. Very close to Carmelit (the underground funicular, going from downtown all the way to the top of the mountain). Louis promenade and the Bahai Gardens are within minutes of walk. Excellent value for money. Stayed here for 3 nights, will definitely return.

Stay Elsewhere! Lots of other good hotels who appreciate your business!

Stay Elsewhere!! Better Recommended hotels
We used to be regulars. Stayed here many times in the past. As a travel guide . we have referred many Baha’i people too. This time we booked 9 days. Place has deteriorated enormously.
Yes we made a mistake and left clothes on the heater to dry.
The brother is rude and hostile. And it began the minute we walked in from overseas. No hello. No Welcome back
Yes there is a war going here, as he reminded me rudely after telling us off about leaving the clothes on the heater.
But no excuse to have freezing corridors with no heat whatsoever and wind and rain blowing through. We have come to visit sick relatives.
And since staying here I am now sick!
We stayed in 2 warm hotels in Tel
Aviv and Jerusalem - no heating problems. There was even a drying rack.
Nowhere to hang clothes to dry or clothes rack. No laundromat anywhere
Why stay open if there is a war and you can’t afford heating in what has been the coldest weather in 30 years?
Next breakfast deteriorated too.
Used to be a better selection - many things removed and served several days in a row!
Finally! A very low light switch immediately above the bed. Have banged our heads numerous times .
No response at all
It is actually the indifference and rude attitude .
We are very unhappy about this and will not be staying here again! Or recommend to our Baha’i friends.

Dear Jenny,
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We value your opinion and we want to address some of the points you raised in your review.
Regarding the laundry, we offer a convenient laundry service that picks up and delivers your clothes clean and folded, as we do with all our guests. You just need to let us know and we will arrange it for you.
Regarding the lights, in this link https://www.beth-shalom.co.il/home/rooms/ you can clearly see our rooms and that the lights are not above the bed but next to it, as shown in the picture.
You are correct that it was a very cold winter and we tried to accommodate your preference for a radiator instead of the heater. However, we also asked you to be careful not to cover it with clothes, as this could pose a fire hazard. We hope you understand our concern for your safety.
We appreciate your business and we hope to see you again at Beth-Shalom Hotel.
Sincerely,
Beth-Shalom Hotel

Pleasant stay

We stayed at the hotel for two nights, me, my husband and our daughter. The hotel is quiet and very clean. They offer breakfast ( very tasty) and coffee, fruit and cake in the lobby.
For us, the hotel really was an island of peace...The staff is very helpful and polite.
We really enjoyed our stay and for sure we' ll return.

No wifi

We were 3 to stay at Beth Shalom for 10 days. We did not have internet in our room for 10 days, each employee giving us a different reason why. Uncomfortable bed-camp, rarely changed blanket (even when stained) and clogged shower. We also stayed locked outside the hotel one evening. The staff is friendly and the breakfasts are good.

Excellent value

We stayed here from June 5th - 15th 2022 and really enjoyed it. A nice, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff and an excellent Israeli breakfast! The location is perfect for us and when I think of our other stays in Haifa I have to say this is the best for value and location. Ariel was very helpful in trying to sort out some missing luggage issues we had. And the baked goods they usually had available for guests in the lobby were excellent. This is definitely our preferred location from now on when travelling to Haifa.
