We just love this place

For the 2nd time this year we have spent a wonderful week at this super charming hotel. It's just so easy to feel at home here. Cute and smiling girls that do clean, Frida, that just is there for the guests and the location close to Chania makes the holiday perfect. I can also recommend the hotel’s restaurant with Greek dishes. The apartments are simple and have what you need for a holiday, where you spend most of the time outdoors. Typical of the hotel is that you can often see the guests sitting on the pool edge in the smallest pool, where people talk and laugh across age, nationality and gender. We look forward to the next trip here!

Lovely Friendly Family Run Aparthotel

Lovely apartments, most with a sea view. Unusual to have 2 swimming pools although 1 is really more a plunge pool suitable for non-swimmers and children especially. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Great location if you want to visit Chania town as there is a free local bus 6 days a week from nearby car park. Nice beaches you can walk to within 10 mins. Nea Chora beach nearby is lots of good seafood restaurants. Would definitely visit again.

We had an incredibly nice holiday, where the surroundings helped to create an atmosphere that made it easy to have fun.

A really nice hotel with unusually nice staff and Owner. We are already on our way again on Sunday, half a year after our last visit. A place one given will want to return to. The apartments have the most necessary and have super good beds. Both hotel and outdoor surroundings are lovely. Close to Chania city and not far from Golden Beach. If you want to buy groceries, there is a "Synca" about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. If you are tired and want to save the trip home, just ask the staff in the store to call for a taxi.

Hotel stay

Breakfast is of the smaller kind with fewer choices, but all the usual is available, eggs, bacon, bread, fruit and yoghurt with various accompaniments. You can also order different breakfast items for a small amount.
The hotel is quiet and nice, the staff is nice and helpful!
Great hotel for those who want a quiet holiday with cheap food and drinks directly at the hotel!
I had a really nice week here!

Brilliant location, good food and fantastic staff

We spent four weeks at Friday apartments and what a great choice! At the end of a quiet cul de sac, it's within 10 minutes' easy walk of Nea Chora beach with bars, tavernas and mini-supermarkets, 35 minutes' walk east to Chania's old port, and within half an hour's walk west to several sandy beaches and good eateries.
Arriving late (11pm), Roula had waited to greet us and take us to apartment 25. The following morning we asked to be moved, as there was a leak in the shower room and a puddle on the floor in front of the sink. No problem! We were immediately taken to apartment 28, in a quiet corner with a large, paved 'garden' in front of it. There was a leak in that shower room too but, as it seemed to be oozing at floor level from the wall behind the toilet, we imagine the plumbing is probably suspect in all the apartments. Unfortunately, the wall in the bedroom is mouldy and crumbling as a result. We were also a bit disappointed by the very limited cooking provision, which consisted of a two-ring hob that blew the fuses one evening when we tried to use the larger ring. We had chosen the self-catering option rather than B&B so it meant we had light breakfasts and didn’t actually bother cooking in the evenings.
Roula was a star throughout, with lots of local knowledge, particularly about food, and recommended some fantastic tavernas. We ate out a lot, but also had substantial meals in Frida’s café. Chef Nikos is very good, and certainly likes to feed people. We can’t praise the staff enough: Gabriela serving at lunchtimes and Anna in the evenings. Anna shook a mean cocktail, whipped up a lovely chocolate mousse with sprinkles, and kept us entertained with her cheeky chat and dry sense of humour. Our total admiration, however, went to Efi and Roula #2, the always-smiling cleaners who came in every day and kept the whole place spotless. Thanks to everyone.
Our main gripes were the sometimes selfish, messy, littering, drunken, noisy neighbours (including Finnish, Irish and British) and the fact that we were both bitten to death by mozzies/midges.
