Accommodation in the heart of Weimar
We stayed here four next in a holiday apartment. The house is located in the heart of Weimar, directly opposite the Goethe-Haus am Frauenplan. It has been very lovingly renovated and has beautiful modern and quality equipped rooms. There is parking in the yard. Restaurants are available in large numbers in the immediate vicinity. All central Weimar attractions are within walking distance. The value for money is very good.

Great location in Weimar
We spent two nights in the hotel/pension am Goethehaus.
We were given a very friendly welcome and check-in was no problem despite the fact that we were early. That was very pleasant for us.
The bright, clean room faced the back of the car park and was quiet.
There is a closet but no safe.
The bed is comfortable and has two pillows.
The bathroom is big enough and clean and has enough light.
There is a magnifying mirror and a hairdryer.
Breakfast is a buffet with almost everything you need for a nice breakfast.
In addition to the actual breakfast room, there is also a very nice winter garden and a small terrace.
The furniture in the winter garden and terrace was really very comfortable.
We felt at home in the pension am Goethehaus and the house really impresses with its perfect location right in the old town.
One more thing to note is that there is no elevator.

Lovely, relaxing guesthouse
I stayed in the Hotel Pension am Goethehaus for a few days during the Yiddish Summer Weimar festival. The accommodation was reasonably priced, in an excellent location in the city centre, and my single room was spacious and had a beautiful balcony. The guesthouse has recently been renovated and the room was tasteful, light and very clean, and I enjoyed breakfast outside on the terrace, including a good selection of breads and cheeses. The staff were lovely when I saw them - though note that the reception is only staffed during daytime. Highly recommended! (Just one suggestion: making tea and coffee facilities available to guests would make sitting on the balcony even better...)

Nice, clean, and very well located
Hotel Pension am Goethehaus is a very nice small pension directly adjacent to the central pedestrian zone of Weimar, near the Rathaus, the Bauhaus Museum, other museums, and all of the shopping. Our room was ample and cozy, though we didn't use it much except for sleeping. The gentleman at the desk spoke excellent English. This is a small pension, and with no elevator. For us, it filled the bill, putting us right in the heart of Weimar at an affordable rate.

Not good during Onion Festival
We arrived on the Sunday of the onion festival attracted by the prospect of parking next to the hotel and unloading the car have driven from England. The town was blocked off due to the festival. Two jobs worth on the barriers prevented that, a very helpful girl on reception came and helped us with the bags. Parking in the car park was 3 times more expensive than the hotel, the receptionist said the hotel would pay the difference.
When I can to check out the very rude owner just laughed.
Both the hotel and the city ought to make better provision for the fair.

Sehr geehrter Gast, mit ihrer Buchung eines Hotelzimmers über Booking.com haben wir sie vorsorglich per Mail darüber informiert das die Vorfahrt zum Hotel und unser Hotelparkplaz auf Grund der Sperrung der gesamten Innenstadt zum Weimarer Zwiebelmarkt nicht möglich ist und die Zufahrt durch Marktstände versperrt ist. Ihre gebuchte Leistung beinhaltete die Übernachtung und das Frühstück in unserem Haus aber keine Parklatz.Wir haben Sie darauf hingewiesen das Sie gerne das Parkhaus am Goethehaus benutzen können welches nur 2 Minunten vom Hotel entfernt ist. Nach Ende des Marktes konnten sie ihr Auto auf unseren Parkplatz parken so das sie nur eine Nacht im Parkhaus bezahlen mussten. Nur am Rande möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass es in deutschen Städten ganz normal ist sein Auto in einem Parkhaus gegen eine Gebühr zu parken.
