Sensational! Very stylish, personal, most beautiful ambience, every detail is right.
A sensational hotel for guests who like it stylish and love it when there is the perfect view for every detail. We stayed overnight and enjoyed a 5-course meal with wine accompaniment in the coat of arms hall and teatime the following day. It's just great.

Very great service and great castle hotel
Hello..We can only congratulate the hotel management on such a friendly and prudent staff, especially Mrs. Pauli and Mrs. Kosmala, who have topped the excellent service.By this I mean not only in the evening still quickly organize a vintage car and picnic basket for the next day. We didn't miss anything..thank you very much and definitely see you next time..Mirka and Mario Seesemann

Expectations and….
…then reality kicks in.
Outstanding feeling, when you drive up the alley to the castle / mansion.
Parking at the back of the building, and the atmosphere and nature that greets you is amazing.
Up the stairs to the reception and a warm welcome. Shown to the room with a combination of stairs and Elevator. Outstanding top notch condition and decor.
The Junior suite was however a little disappointing, despite the fine personal welcome letter. Rather dark and hot with a strange way of organising the furniture. No aircon, which is to be expected in a castle.Very small bathroom. Bedroom left only small room to get in and out of the bed.
Welcomed in the room by some port wine. After a 7 hour drive, it would have been nice with a cold beer in the beautiful garden. Not a chance.
Diner on our first night out of two, we had in a town 30 min south, by a lake.
Outstanding breakfast with fine service.
Outstanding 6 course dinner in fantastic surroundings, with an extremely well fitted wine menu. Fine service.
Very cosy small wellness area. Small change-room. There is an outdoor spa which was not in use, and no information about how or when.
Ended a two days trip with another great breakfast.

Luxury with a feel-good atmosphere
For all those who always surround themselves with luxury or for those who treat themselves to a luxurious break, a stay at the Schlosshotel Burg Schlitz is just right. The personal service from booking to departure was unobtrusively perfect. I tend to be critical in my reviews. But here there is no criticism. The location is top, the castle has been lovingly restored, renovated and subtly modernized in such detail that you can't help but feel comfortable. Each room and suite also contains antique furniture. I can only thank you for giving us the opportunity to have a private tour of the various rooms of the castle hotel.
The wellness area is also great. The mirrors give the room an incredible (non-existent) size and the distribution of the loungers gives a certain amount of space for individuality. There is a sauna and steam bath as well as rooms for massages.
Not to be forgotten is the gastronomy. Here too, we were not disappointed. Breakfast was lovingly served at the table, and a small buffet had other additions available. Special requests were taken into account for the food and a menu in the evening in the Wappensaal with accompanying wines is particularly recommended.

Fine country holiday at the highest level
A true jewel of classicist elegance! Our stay at the Schlosshotel Burg Schlitz was an unforgettable experience that fully met our high expectations. The official text promises a "good and fine life in the country", and these promises were fulfilled in every respect.
The castle, a classicist palace, exudes a timeless elegance and is located far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the middle of a breathtaking 100-hectare landscape park. The location, only about 1.5 hours drive from Berlin and Hamburg, makes this property a top-class retreat.
Our suite was simply exquisitely and authentically furnished, with high ceilings and valuable antiques that gave the rooms a special atmosphere. The spaciousness and comfort of the suite were more than appropriate for a hotel of this category. It felt as if we were immersed in a piece of history without having to forego modern luxury.
The staff deserves special recognition. They were consistently competent and helpful and made our stay an all-round pleasant experience. Every question was answered with a smile and we always felt in good hands.
The afternoon tea in the Green Salon was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our stay. Exclusive and of the highest quality, this service offered a wonderful opportunity to unwind and enjoy the day in a stylish ambience.
Although the gourmet restaurant in the Wappen-Saal was closed during our visit, we were still surprised by the cuisine at the highest level. The attention to detail and the selection of dishes reflected the gastronomic excellence that we had expected.
Of course, it should be noted that staying at Burg Schlitz is not exactly cheap and some services can incur additional costs. But if you want to experience fine country life in a stylish atmosphere, this is the right place for you. Burg Schlitz offers a piece of heaven on earth for those seeking pleasure and relaxation. A true hideaway compared to many other, more or less standardized luxury hotels.
Overall, we are very impressed and will certainly be happy to come back to immerse ourselves again in the luxurious charm of this unique castle hotel. A place that sets standards and has given us unforgettable moments.
