Excellent stay
The included breakfast was a continental breakfast which was pretty decent although the selection is quite modest if you're staying for a few days. Everyone has an allocated table at breakfast so there's no worry about finding a space.
One of the great things about staying in a place like this in Gengenbach instead of Offenburg or Freiburg is that you get a Konus card when checking in, and that entitles you to free public transport through the Black Forest for the duration of your stay - look it up on Google.

Beautiful Hotel with a Great Restaurant
The breakfast buffet was healthy and delicious, and staff kept everything humming during a very busy weekend.
A friend claims that it's a good sign if a hotel dining room opens onto the street. This was certainly the case at Hotel Restaurant Sonne, where we had dinner one evening. The dining rooms were attractive, the service helpful, and the menu was extensive and delicious.
Gengenbach is a delightful Black Forest town, and Hotel Restaurant Sonne is a perfect place to stay while visiting the town and the region.
