Avoid at All Costs – YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
Let’s start with the so-called "breakfast"—if you can even call it that. The selection was abysmal, stale pastries, lukewarm coffee, and something that vaguely resembled boiled eggs but had the texture of rubber. If you're hoping for a decent start to your day, forget it.
The rooms? Tiny doesn’t even begin to describe them. You could barely swing a cat in there! The space was so cramped that moving around without bumping into furniture was a challenge. I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, but this was next level uncomfortable.
Customer service? An absolute joke. When we arrived, we witnessed another couple checking out, arguing with the management about how awful their stay was. They turned to us and flat-out warned us not to stay there. Unfortunately, we had already paid online and had no other choice. That should have been our first red flag.
To make matters worse, the next morning, it was raining, and we asked the receptionist if we could borrow an umbrella. There was a basket full of umbrellas in the reception area, so naturally, we assumed they were for guests. Nope! We were bluntly told, "There are plenty of shops where you can buy one." Excuse me?! What kind of hospitality is that?
By the time we left, even the manager seemed to acknowledge how bad our experience was. she "apologized" and promised to refund us one night's stay as a "gesture of goodwill." Of course, once we got back to our country and followed up, we were ignored—FOUR TIMES. Out of sight, out of mind.
Please, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels around—don't make the same mistake we did. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Excellent sleeping for those who want to visit the basilica.
Negative point: the ceiling of the bathroom is behind the sink had infiltration points (there was no smell of moisture) and at night the street gets pretty dark.

Good value for money
Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a luggage lift platform, which is also essential for those with reduced mobility, as the lobby is located on a mezzanine floor. The lobby, while simple and without any particular design details, is cozy, and the reception staff was very friendly and professional. A plus: the receptionist spoke Italian discreetly, a rare detail abroad but appreciable, and in Lourdes it is quite common.
The value for money is another positive aspect: considering the location, the quality of the room and the services offered, the cost was definitely competitive. I noticed, however, that hotel prices in Lourdes in general are quite subdued.
As for the rooms, mine was located on the sixth floor. The modern rooms, the result of a recent renovation, were clean and well furnished. The bed was of excellent quality, ensuring excellent sleep. I particularly appreciated the presence of a coffee maker in the room and the welcome with a bottle of champagne, a very welcome gesture.
The view from the room was spectacular: views of Avenue Peramal, the Gave de Pau river and the Pyrenees. A breathtaking scenario!
The layout of the bathroom is particular, with a separate toilet from the dressing room where the sink and shower are located. Even the elevator, although new, is rather small and slow, a flaw.
Turning to breakfast, I must say that it was one of the few disappointments. For a four-star hotel I expected something more: it was a fairly industrial breakfast.
A very positive experience was that of the spa. The property offers a small but well-organized relaxation area with jacuzzi and sauna, perfect for regenerating. For an hour session I paid, I think, 60 euros, a suitable price considering the quality of the service and the material provided (towels, slippers, etc.).
Overall, I was pleased with the stay and, despite some minor improvements needed, would gladly return to the Rive Droite Hotel for a future visit to Lourdes.
