Excellent & Great Value for Money!
The hotel is situated on a side road off the main road which has lots of small shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. The bus terminal is a short 5 minutes walk away. We walked to Lidl the first day to stock up on drinks, snacks etc and got the bus back which cost 2 euros each.
We met many returning guests at this hotel and in fact we are returning ourselves again with the whole family in May 2025. We would definitely recommend this hotel apartment.

Great value option by Tombs Of The Kings Road
Our room was spacious and cleaned regularly to a good standard. Our daughter had an an absolute blast in the pool almost every day and made some friends over the course of the stay - there's a really nice friendly family atmosphere at the Kefalonitis.
I personally found the staff fantastically pleasant and hard-working; I had many great conversations with Ted at the bar who really is a terrific host, very down to earth and just generally excellent company. Must give a shout out also to Dimitris who always had a smile a kind word for everyone!
Overall we found the Kefalonitis to be a great value for money and would particularly recommend it for families.

Clean Hotel friendly staff.
Friendly bar and staff.
My only disappointment was that we didn’t find out that the gym and games room were open during our stay until we were actually leaving. The reason for that is that there was a closed sign permanently on the door leading to this other facilities.
The hotel could definitely do with an upgrade as furniture and decor tired.
They offer a full English breakfast or a continental one this one only offered toast and jam and tea or juice.

Marmite Apts ?
We absolutely loved our stay here , on my first trip to Cyprus ( but not the wife's ) . Easily the best self-catering apartments we've ever stayed in , as we've experienced far worse believe me . Could not believe how SPACIOUS our room was , with a huge bathroom ( compared to what we're used to ) . Fantastic shower , & sheets + towels that seemed to be changed daily .. we couldn't believe our luck .. so a BIG thank you to the cleaning Ladies . Comfy beds too , which we're not that used to over the years of self - catering .
As we're beach lovers , we only used the pool on our last day due to late flight home , so just a note regarding the pool .. if you're a non swimmer like my Wife . The shallow point is in the middle of pool ( never seen this anywhere before ) , not a complaint .. merely pointing it out .. but a good pool to do lengths .
When we booked this trip , we requested a ground floor apartment .. as we travel normally with 23 kgs each .. & coming up to the big 70 in years .. we've gone past the stage of lumping gear up stairs . So when we arrived near midnight , we were duly shown by Ted to what we had requested .. which was much appreciated !! . Ted during our stay , was always amiable .. & i enjoyed his Glaswegian humour . So thanks Ted , for enhancing our stay .. no matter how brief the time spent . He's on his own at night , so when you arrive like we did at silly o'clock , & he's not there at reception , he's probably helping other late comers to their rooms .. so bear with .
Kefalonitis is brilliantly positioned too , a VERY short walk to various supermarkets , various eateries & the new bus station . Also we hired a car from directly opposite the Kefalonitis , which was fairly priced .. & very handy being so close . We were lucky that our balcony had a washing line already rigged up , so take plenty of string / pegs .. just in case .. as i didn't see all balconies with this . The Kefalonitis is spread out over a bigger area than we expected , with many blocks of accommodation .. so obviously didn't see EVERY balcony .. just pointing this out .
Yes , i get what some reviewers say regarding the tired look , but DON'T let that put you off coming here .. if you want 5 star then go elsewhere .. we would return in a heartbeat . Thank you to ALL the staff , & management at the Kefalonitis .. we enjoyed our stay immensely .
