We stayed one night our room was very clean and quiet. Great value

We stayed one night. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. Check in was quick and easy. Parking was abundant with an electrical outlet to plug the block heater for our vehicle. I feel I received great value for cost

A very nice property; perfect for overnighting along a long road trip

The context of this stay was a one-night stay along a road trip across western and central Canada. The property met all requirements for such a stay. It was conveniently located to the trans-Canada Highway. The property is clean and comfortable and safe, with friendly and helpful staff. The pool and water slide looked inviting and fun, but, alas, there was no time to enjoy it. I did, however, use the fitness room and was pleased that the equipment was modern and functional and well-maintained.
The breakfast was standard fare for Holiday Inn Express, which is to say it had a pretty good offering of both hot and cold items, ranging from healthy to indulgent.
I appreciate that the property allows pets. I'm not fond of "pet fees" but I recognize the reality that they are now the de facto standard in the lodging industry . . . and accordingly I will not feel guilty about offering my dog some food from the complimentary breakfast (she loves eggs). Having a room on the first floor near the side door was especially convenient for a dog.
All in all, it was a very nice stay. I don't expect I'll ever visit Medicine Hat again, but the property gives me a favorable impression of the city and if I ever did return, I would probably choose to stay here.

The hotel itself is a nice hotel. The suites are decent, they upgraded us at Christmas which was nice. The pool area is freezing. The pool itself is ice cold pumping cold water. We asked the maintenance guy to turn it up and he said because the slide was on is why it was cold, we told him it was uncomfortable he said okay went into the back room and turned it up and we felt warm water coming out. He then came in and turned it back to cold. I get cost savings but it shouldn’t be freezing especially if the pool area itself is chilly. The breakfast is decent and the lady that cooks, Karen, is super friendly and kind. Be sure to say hello to her!

It was very comfortable, the staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. Loved the waterside. Had a great stay with my date.
