Hotel Ushuaia is a wonderful hotel with very friendly staff and a nice breakfast. It is up a hill, so there is a beautiful view.If you want to go to town, you'll need a taxi, but they will call one for you, and it will arrive in minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

As noted by other reviewers the hotel is in a bad section of town that you don't feel safe walking in. But my reviews not based upon that our room the floor was uneven it seemed like the last time the bed linens had been changed was around 1990 a lamp fell apart while we're in the room the toilet continuously ran.
On the brighter side The view out the back was beautiful and I thought the breakfast was totally adequate and the service was nice

Stinky bathroom, himid bathroom (no proper ventilation), shower difficult to regulate, really outdated hotel, bad beds, cheap-ish but not really. Super simple breakfast, staff was wonderful.

Beautiful hotel, cleanliness was a plus, excellent staff at breakfast time, they have a restaurant for lunch & dinner which gives you great food at comparable prices to restaurants on the strip! The lobby is very comfortable and anywhere in the hotel you have a beautiful view of the beautiful mountains and the ocean! The walk was a bit steep for people that have problems walking but we enjoy walking and loved it!

The view from the hotel is lovely with mountains and the ocean from each side of the hotel.
The breakfast is relatively poor and consist of not much else than bread, croissants with Cheese and ham and cereals.
The location of the hotel is a bit far away from the "downtown" at its a though walk back, since its very uphill. I'll recommend to take a taxi or even more rent a car.
Service of the staff was excellent.
